HP World Stores will provide space for local artisans to lighten their celebrations this Diwali

In: Advertising

The #ThodiSiJagahBanaLo short film is an ode to Indian artisans. It aims to preserve India’s colorful culture.

HP India announced this year that it will host 15 local artisans in its HP World stores across India. To celebrate Diwali, HP India launched “Thodi Si Jagah Bana Lo”, a short film that highlights the important role Indian artisans play in representing our rich cultural traditions.

Simple Creative created the campaign film. It shows heartwarming expressions and generosity in support of traditional artisans and local businesses. This film serves as a reminder of the resilience of local artisans over the years.

The film shows Paresh, an old artisan who displays his work on the streets with his grandson. He was asked by the authorities to leave the premises. This ended any hope of his craft continuing. A fellow buyer at HP World Store witnessed the whole incident and devised a solution to help him realize his dream. Paresh can now showcase his artwork at HP World Stores by using technology-enabled products like a printer and laptop from HP. The film, which truly echoes the tagline “Thodi si Jagah Bana Lo”, captures the essence of Diwali. It also sends the message “Actions make all the difference.”

Prashant Jain (CMO, HP India), commented on the film’s launch. “Our ongoing endeavor is to showcase inspirational stories, and the story about artisans is one which deserved attention from an audience to showcase their work and scale up their local products nationally. “Thodi Si Jagah Bana Lo”, a call to support local artisans, instills empathy and compassion. We hope to restore the role of artisans, strengthen the artisan economy and encourage the community to support one another.

Sainath Saraban (CCO, Simple Creative Inc) elaborated on the creative thought. We have created a film this Diwali that is both emotional and powerful. It also travels from the screen to the real world. We want artisans who are committed to preserving India’s rich and magical culture to be able to showcase their talent and art through this initiative. This year’s creative idea, “Dil Main Jagah Bana Lo”, beautifully illustrates the fact that one must first make space in their heart.

This promise was kept by HP India, which has opened 75 HP India stores in 15 cities to facilitate artisans and their work starting on 20 October. Cities include- Delhi, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Ludhiana, Ghaziabad, Noida, Lucknow, Kolkata, Patna, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Cochin. You can do your bit by visiting these stores and scanning the QR code on the film or visiting www.hpworldstores.in/diwali to know the nearest participating store in your city and make space for the beautiful art in your homes.
